In these recent years the research in gravitation and cosmology has experienced a rapid advancement in several issues which are the gravitational waves, shadow of black holes, primordial black holes, cosmic microwave background and large-scale structure of the universe, etc. This session aims to provide an opportunity to gather the researchers share their results from the perspective of observation and theoretical calculation, the contents include classical general relativity, cosmology, quantum gravity, detection of gravitational waves, black holes physics, astrophysics and so on. Furthermore, it initiates or strengthen the collaboration between the researchers from the intense discussion. The students could also grasp the latest development for the research of gravitation and cosmology.
Dr. Xiao Yan Chew, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, China
Dr. Xiao Yan Chew is a Malaysian who recently joined the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology as a lecturer at 2023. Previously he obtained his PhD from University of Oldenburg in Germany at 2019, then he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Pusan National University, South Korea from 2019 to 2023. His research interests are studying the properties of compact objects such as the traversable wormholes, hairy black holes and scalar solitons, especially their astrophysical signatures. He is also the reviewer for the international journals which are Physics of Dark Universe, Annalen der Physik and General Relativity and Gravitation.
